The Apparitions of the Blessed Mother at Medjugorie

I've been reading a book given to me by a customer at work called, "The Apparitions of the Blessed Mother at Medjugorie." He has seen me at church and we have talked about Medjugorie, as he has been there several times and says his trip is very spiritual. In case there are readers who are not familiar with the apparition of Medjugorie, the Virgin Mary appeared to five teenagers and a 9 year old on June 25, 1981, and her messages continue today to them and to the whole world. Her messages has renewed and strengthened the faith and spirituality of millions of all faiths who have visited Medjugorie. There is a website of Medjugorie that gives an update of the Virgin Mary's latest message among news. The address is found in the image above. Her latest message is March 25, 2009. She says:

Message of March 25, 2009
"Dear children! In this time of spring, when everything is awakening from the winter sleep, you also awaken your souls with prayer so that they may be ready to receive the light of the risen Jesus. Little children, may He draw you closer to His Heart so that you may become open to eternal life. I pray for you and intercede before the Most High for your sincere conversion. Thank you for having responded to my call."

The End Days?

I have to laugh everytime I hear someone in the protestant "Prophet World" get into a tiz that makes them think that the rapture is near and we are definitely in the end times and blah blah blah.

One of the things a few of them are worried about is the establishment of a one world government. Some are worried about the establishment of a one world religion. And now, some are worried about the establishment of a one world currency.

Frankly, I have to admit I'm a little worried about the establishment of a one world currency, too. If Ron Paul is even a little bit right, if Lou Dobbs is even a little bit right, that would mean that when the dollar has absolutely no value left, every human being in this country will be broke. According to some conspiracy theorists, we will get a new currency, called the Amero, and that it will pay us 2 cents for every dollar we have. That means, IF we have some money in the bank that we don't ever plan on using, all of it will be converted to the Amero and if you have $100 in the bank, let's say, then you will then have only $2.00.

I, myself, don't see how this could possibly happen. But, the way things are going, one never knows.

The other thing I do chuckle over is the fear of a one world religion. Those who are not Catholic believe the pope (no matter who the pope is) wants to get power over the whole world and force everyone to become Catholic. Course, as a Catholic, if that were to happen, I would be happy about it. But then God does not force our faith on us and it would never work. And it would be nice if those who fear this very thing would come to understand that as well.

I do believe that there eventually will only be one Church, the Catholic Church. But that will be when all things have been accomplished and when we arrive at the real 'new springtime' that we've heard about over the years.

As for a one world government. Rumor has it that the United Nations and a couple of countries want the one world government. End Times people say this is definitely a sign of the end times and if they are right and if that does happen, then I am moving into the Church and setting up permanent residence until Christ comes, or until the possible chastisement is over, or whatever is going to happen, happens.

However, we are not to worry about the end times. It will come when it comes. We just always need to have our lanterns lit and be ready to go when Jesus does call His faithful home for good.

"Terri's Day" March 31

Jules writes: March 31 has been declared "Terri's Day" (AKA International Day of Prayer and Remembrance for Terri Schindler Schiavo and All of Our Vulnerable Brothers and Sisters) by the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation and Priests for Life. Terri's Day will help bring attention to the need for protection for all disabled persons. Abled or disabled we are all human beings with value, with the right for life and equality. Every human being should have the right to food and water (as should any animal). That this has to be battled in courts is repulsive and gruesome to say the very least. Who has the right to determine the value of another human being as less valuable than another? No human being has the right to judge another human being's worthiness to life. There is no price tag to place on a human life, they are priceless and precious. Starving a human being to death is barbaric and should be criminal in this nation and others.

For any self proclaiming Christian to think that what was done to Terri was some how "humane" is to forget (or ignore) the words of their Savior Jesus Christ in Matt. 25 where Jesus tells us that what we do to others is what we do TO and for Jesus Christ himself. To starve a disabled person to death is to do that to Jesus Christ (Matt.25:42).

Matt. 25:31"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 37"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' 41"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' 44"Then they also will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' 45Then He will answer them, saying, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' 46And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Those who support euthanasia can find their eternal fate in Matt.25:46 "everlasting punishment" according to the Word of God. We will all be held accountable one day as Jesus demonstrated with the Sheep and the Goats. The Sheep to eternal life, the Goats to eternal punishment.

A novena in remembrance of Terri from the Priests for Life website.

Prayer in Remembrance of Terri Schiavo

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,

And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.

I know that life is always a good,

and that it never loses its value

when it is beset by weakness or injury.

Lord, thank you for the life of Terri Schindler-Schiavo.

Even in her suffering and death She revealed Your glory and truth that life is always sacred.

As I remember Terri, I also commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,

And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,

And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice

Not just for some, but for all,

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen!
