The End Days?

I have to laugh everytime I hear someone in the protestant "Prophet World" get into a tiz that makes them think that the rapture is near and we are definitely in the end times and blah blah blah.

One of the things a few of them are worried about is the establishment of a one world government. Some are worried about the establishment of a one world religion. And now, some are worried about the establishment of a one world currency.

Frankly, I have to admit I'm a little worried about the establishment of a one world currency, too. If Ron Paul is even a little bit right, if Lou Dobbs is even a little bit right, that would mean that when the dollar has absolutely no value left, every human being in this country will be broke. According to some conspiracy theorists, we will get a new currency, called the Amero, and that it will pay us 2 cents for every dollar we have. That means, IF we have some money in the bank that we don't ever plan on using, all of it will be converted to the Amero and if you have $100 in the bank, let's say, then you will then have only $2.00.

I, myself, don't see how this could possibly happen. But, the way things are going, one never knows.

The other thing I do chuckle over is the fear of a one world religion. Those who are not Catholic believe the pope (no matter who the pope is) wants to get power over the whole world and force everyone to become Catholic. Course, as a Catholic, if that were to happen, I would be happy about it. But then God does not force our faith on us and it would never work. And it would be nice if those who fear this very thing would come to understand that as well.

I do believe that there eventually will only be one Church, the Catholic Church. But that will be when all things have been accomplished and when we arrive at the real 'new springtime' that we've heard about over the years.

As for a one world government. Rumor has it that the United Nations and a couple of countries want the one world government. End Times people say this is definitely a sign of the end times and if they are right and if that does happen, then I am moving into the Church and setting up permanent residence until Christ comes, or until the possible chastisement is over, or whatever is going to happen, happens.

However, we are not to worry about the end times. It will come when it comes. We just always need to have our lanterns lit and be ready to go when Jesus does call His faithful home for good.

  1. Good post! We are seeing signs of the End Days, however we just don't know the day, month, hour or year when Jesus will return. We just have to be ready as if He would return at this moment. I believe if we are worried about the return of Jesus Christ, then we are not with Jesus Christ. The Book of Revelations doesn't teach us to be worried about anything else BUT where we are with Jesus Christ.

  2. Doesn't it seem like the readings at Mass lately seem to always be pointing to the end times, or is it because it's lent?
